Oman recorded a trade surplus of OMR 256 million by the end of January 2026, down from OMR 528 million during the same period in 2025, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information.

Merchandise exports fell 6.1% to OMR 1.831 billion, mainly due to a 15.9% drop in oil and gas exports. Non-oil exports rose 15.3% to OMR 613 million. Imports grew 10.9% to OMR 1.575 billion, while re-exports increased 9.7% to OMR 109 million.
