QatarEnergy has extended its force majeure notice to Italian energy company Edison for the third time this year, from mid-August to the end of September.
Edison, a unit of French group EDF, said in a statement that the state-run company has cancelled delivery of three more liquefied natural gas cargoes.
The first force majeure notice ran until early July, followed by the second until mid-August.
To date, 24 LNG cargoes — 3 billion cubic metres of gas (bcm) — have been subject to force majeure.
