Environment ministry removes 150-metre abandoned fishing net off Umm Bab coast

As part of its ongoing efforts to protect the marine environment, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has successfully removed an abandoned fishing net measuring more than 150 metres in length from waters off the coast of Umm Bab.

The operation was carried out by the ministry’s Marine Protection Department after the net, identified as a twisted-yarn type, was detected during routine field patrols in the open sea.
